This is an all-original January 1972 Stratocaster which I have carefully disassembled and verified myself (see pictures). The neck date is January 1972. The pick-ups are also dated 1972. The body cavity is marked N for natural and denotes that the finish is certainly original. It has had only two owners in its 44 years. It is in outstanding condition and is surprisingly light in weight. Natural finish Ash Body with Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Three-bolt adjustable neck fitting. Original 70s pattern Fender tremolo complete with the bridge cover. Three original Fender pick-ups with one volume and two tone controls. Original three-way selector switch. All wiring and pots are original. Three-ply white scratchplate. With modern Hiscox hard case. This exceptional Strat has a good tonal range from the original pick-ups; the neck pick-up is nicely smooth and rounded, the middle has lovely bell-like tone and the bridge pick-up is bright and powerful.
