The very desirable early USA-made Guild version of Brian May's guitar. This is a very close replica of Mr May's original Red Special and only 1000 were made. Solid Mahogany body with Tremolo and bridge system made by Schaller as an accurate reproduction of the original home-made knife edge tremolo. The Burns Tri-Sonic pick-ups were made by Seymour Duncan. The usual array of six selector switches, one tone and one volume control and, therefore, huge tonal variety is readily available. Chrome hardware throughout. Ebony fingerboard with Pearl dot inlays. The 1994 limited run of this model was split between the USA and Europe. This example is one of the original 500 made for the USA home market. The guitar is in absolutely lovely condition with no visible playwear. There is a Gibson gig bag with the guitar but not the original hard case and this is reflected in the price.
